Netherlands, the Ouwehands Dierenpark Rhenen: history, opening hours and giant pandas

The Netherlands Zoo

Ouwehands Dierenpark, located in Rhenen, the Netherlands, is a historic and highly regarded zoo, founded in 1932. In 2015, during an official visit by King Willem-Alexander and Queen Máxima to China, the Netherlands and China signed an important agreement to protect the giant panda. In the presence of Chinese President Xi Jinping and the Dutch monarch, the partnership between Rhenen Zoo and the Chinese Wildlife Conservation Association was formalized.

Netherlands, the Ouwehands Dierenpark Rhenen: the new Pandasia area and the pandas Wu Wen and Xing Ya

A fine ottobre 2026, però, farà ritorno in Cina.
